Vintage Japanese Chokin Compact Hummingbird & Flowers
A fine little hummingbird in flight draws necter from an open daffodil flower, in this vintage Japanese chokin compact, circa 1970s.
The delicately designed compact is square in shape and has a brushed gold plated base, inlaid with gold, copper, and silver for the lid design. It doesn’t appear to have ever been used, and still has the original paper insert for “Art of Chokin” within.
The compact has double mirrors within – one for regular view and one for close-ups, measures approximately 2&3/4 inches squared, and is signed by the artist on the lower right corner.
Very good condition – clean, vibrant, and intact.
