Antique Victorian Stag Horn Pin Carved Antler Deer Brooch
A stag in profile displaying a handsome set of antlers, is featured in this antique Victorian pin and pendant combination, circa mid to late 1800s.
The petite sized pin is hand carved from deer or elk horn a.k.a. antler, in an openwork design with three dimensional relief of a male buck or stag reposing in the woods with surrounding foliage.
The pin itself can also be used as a pendant, with the bail comprising a part of the carving. It measures approximately 1&3/16 inches wide, and has a brass colored tube hinge and c-catch.
