So creative and finely crafted is this vintage sterling silver coyote, dressed up like a western cowboy, by Navajo artist Allison Snowhawk Lee, circa 1990s.
The anthropomorphic brooch is hand wrought from sterling silver, and riveted together in layered parts with incised and stamped details, depicting a coyote wearing boots, buttoned shirt, vest, gloves, polka dot bandana, and eye mask, along with a holster with pistols.
It measures approximately 1&1/2 inches wide at its widest point by 2&3/8 inches high, weighs 9.1 grams, and is signed "Allison" with winged logo, along with "Sterling".
