Vintage 40s Tilt Hat Straw & Feathers Boater

Such an elegant hat for the well dressed woman, is this charming vintage boater style ladies tilt hat with wide band of creamy feathers, circa 1940s. 

The doll type hat consists of a black woven straw with high crown and flat extended brim, and a 2&3/4 inches wide band of wrapped feathers in a cream or ivory white with hints of honey color throughout, and topped with a black netted veil.

Please note that there are holes in the veils as shown – which can be replaced, worn as is, or removed altogether, and one side of the feather band is slightly detached on one side as shown, but remains secure.

The Art Deco era hat has a black petersham ribbon head band in back and along the inside rim and measures approximately 9 inches in diameter, when measured flat across the bottom. There are no labels.

The hat itself is in very good condition and remains flexible and intact.
