So intricate in design and modernist in style is this quintessential vintage Norwegian mid-century sterling silver brooch by iconic designer Marianne Berg for the Uni David Andersen workshop, circa 1960s.
Possbily from Andersen's “Troll Jewelry Series” or “The Silver Series”, the high dimensional sterling silver atomic looking circle brooch has an almost machine like appearance similar to a wheel or gear – and consists of a repeat pattern of circular rows containing smaller open circles and circle cups.
The pin measures 1&5/8 inches round, weighs 20.8 grams, and is marked “Uni D-A Norway INV MB 925 S. Sterling”, along with the Andersen scale logo.
