Vintage Heart Brooch Gone with the Wind - Designs from the Deep
Hollywood stars Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable in a scene from “Gone with the Wind” are featured in this heart shaped brooch from “Designs from the Deep”, circa 1980s.
The large sized DftD brooch is from the company’s earliest days in the late 80s, when their decoupage jewelry had a copper base. It features a 1930s black and white image of Leigh and Gable over thick guage copper, dotted with shiny dew drop cabs, several miniature red roses, and topped with a clear decoupage resin, along with a faceted aurora borealis glass bead drop.
The pin measures a generous 2&3/4 inches wide and hangs approximately 3&1/2 inches in length, from top of heart to base of bead. It weighs 27.2 grams and is marked with the early DftD logo of Pisces fish along with “D.f.t.D.”.
