Vintage 40s Dress & Bolero Jacket Brown & Yellow Art Deco Sundress Set w/ Novelty Buttons M
Here's a fun and swingy wartime dress set featuring a summery sundress and matching bolero jacket, embellished with a checkerboard scarf trim and novelty buttons, from the 1940s.
The vintage ensemble features a sleeveless dress and jacket, comprised of a medium weight linen fabric with maple brown color and attached acetate scarf in a brown, yellow, and white checkerboard pattern.
The sundress has wide shoulder straps, fitted bodice, softly flaired skirt, and assymetrical button down closure with novelty buttons (see close-up pic) made of hollow plastic which contain the matching patterned fabric within.
The jacket has cap sleeves with triangular shoulder pads within, and trimmed with novelty button and attached scarf.
*Please note – A small bit of fade is evident beneath the right shoulder button and top dress button as shown (see close-up pic), but doesn’t detract. Also the plastic buttons have yellowed over time.
Otherwise, both dress and jacket are in very good condition, with linen and patterned fabric remaining vibrant and intact.
Both dress and jacket has a single size label for “13”.
