Such an amazing statement piece, is this large and ornate pre-eagle repousse Taxco clamper bracelet, made of 940 silver by silvermaster MS, circa 1940s.
The Art Deco era clamper is hinged, and comprised of 940 silver (higher than Sterling), with high dimensional repousse work depicting a pre-Columbian design of trumpet like flowers with detailed stamens.
The bold and chunky bracelet measures approximately 3&3/4 inches high in front, from flower tip at top to flower tip at base, and will accommodate up to a wrist size of 8.
It weighs a considerable 79.6 grams, and has a circular mark for “Mexico” and “Taxco” with intials “MS” at the center, along with “940”.
