Vintage 50s Kitten Bag A&N Knitility Chenille Carpet Tapestry Handbag

You’ll be smitten with kittens!  In this charming vintage tote style bag featuring two little cats in a basket, with a chenille or carpet tapestry design by A&N Knitility, circa 1950s.

The versatile bag can be used to hold knitting or as a handbag, and consists of a soft plush chenille surface, depicting the two kittens in earthtone colors of maple brown, goldenrod, yellow, pale teal blue and black, over a black faille fabric backing. 

It also has two handle straps, a hinged spring-snap frame with looped tabs for holding knitting needles if desired, interior side pocket and exterior zippered pocket in back, and four brass feet at the base.

The bag measures approximately 14 inches wide by 14 inches high (excluding straps) and has an interior label for “A&N”,  “A Knitility Bag”.
