Vintage 60s Pleated Skirt Green Linen by Ellen Brooke S XS
Deep billowy pleats, large patch pockets, and lustrous abalone shell buttons are featured on this vintage green linen “Ellen Brooke” skirt, circa late 50s early 60s.
This skirt came with an auction tag for Ellen Brooke, however, I can find no labels. Upon searching online, I did locate a pic of model Monique Chevalier from a 1962 issue of Glamour magazine, wearing a similar looking Ellen Brooke skirt.
The unlabeled skirt consists of a solid weight linen fabric in a hunter green color, with banded waist, soft knife pleats, a generous 3&1/4 inch hem (see close-up pic), and a closure of five large 1 inch buttons of genuine abalone shell along the back as shown.
Very good condition – clean, vibrant, and intact.
Please note measurements as follows and be sure to allow for ease.
Waist – 24 inches
Hips – Open
Length – 26&1/2 inches (Waist to hem)
