Vintage 70s Donald Brook Dress Tangerine Orange Grecian Gown XS
A finely gathered bodice with soft flowing skirt makes up this elegant vintage Grecian style gown by Donald Brooks, circa 1970s.
The vibrantly colored halter dress is made for the slender figured woman or teen, and consists of a medium weight stretchy knit fabric that feels like a Quiana, in a bright tangerine orange color. It has a ruched Grecian or Chiton style bodice with empire waist and criss-cross banding, cross over shoulder straps in back, small side boning within, and long flowing skirt.
It also has a zippered back at the waist with hook and eye closures, and a draping bow tie trim.
*Please note that there is a small smudge mark in back of the skirt portion on the right (see close-up pics) although hard to see.
The gown has several labels – one for “Donald Brooks” and a fabric care label, which display a bit of dye transfer, and so the dress is not colorfast.
Along an inside seam, there are labels for the upscale shop of “Bonwit Teller”, along with a stock card label, small faded size label, and a red, white, and blue ILGWU label.
Good condition, with the color remaining vibrant and intact.
