A beautifully enameled butterfly with filigree wings, makes up this vintage Chinese Export brooch, circa 1940s.
The elegant insect consists of silver with gold vermeil in a filigree or cannetille design, accented with enameled glazes along the body and dotted along the wings – in colors of turquoise, pastel blue, burnt orange, yellow, and dark and pale green.
It measures approximately 2&3/8 inches across, at its widest point, weighs 12.7 grams, and is marked “Silver”.
