Vintage Dancing Poodle Bag Dog Novelty Print Handbag Purse Pocketbook
Who doesn’t love poodles? And this charming vintage silver lame bag features three of the cute little doggies dancing the can-can, all hand painted, circa 1950s into early 60s.
The well made Rockabilly handbag purse has a trapezoid shape and consists of what appears to be a faux leather with metallic silver lamé, and showcases a whimsical hand painted scene of three black poodles dancing the can-can, in frilly dresses with lifted skirts, adornments in their hair, stems of red roses, and signed with the artist’s initial of “K”. It also has a single top handle, snap clasp closure, and cloth lining within, along with a paper tag of “2044 Looper”.
*Please note – there are some minor scratches and divets along the back and bottom as shown (see last pic), probably due to storage. The front however, remains intact.
The charming pocketbook measures approximately 2&7/8 inches wide by 12 inches long across the base, and sits approximately 7 inches high, minus the handle.
It is in good condition, with painted poodles remaining vibrant and intact.
