Here is a fun and quirky pair of vintage and oversized Studio Artisan earrings, crafted in the Memphis Design Group style of the period, circa 1980s.
The novelty dog or coyote earrings consist of a heavy gauge sterling silver hand wrought into amoebic-like shapes with a three dimensional effect which include silver wire swirls, turquoise and navy blue beading, and little sterling silver dogs over composite layers of purple plum, buttercup yellow, and burnt orange colors.
They measure approximately 1&1/16 inches wide by 2&1/8 inches in length, have offset post backs, weigh 13.0 grams total, and are stamped “Sterling”.
