So graceful and fluid in design is this vintage modernist floral style brooch of sterling silver and tiger eye gemstones by Sigi Pineda of Taxco, circa 1950s/60s.
The mid-century pin is in the form of a sterling silver flower stem featuring three oval tiger eye cabs for the flower buds.
It measures approximately 2&3/4 inches in length, weighs 14.1 grams, and is signed with the conjoined “Sigi” and “Taxco” logo within oval cartouches, along with “Hecho en Mexico”, the eagle assay mark, and a design number of “70”, which is partially obscured.
