Vintage 14K Cameo Antique Carved Shell Brooch 19th Century - Left Facing

This classical and large sized antique cameo brooch, features a finely carved woman in profile adorned with rose flowers all along her hair and shoulders and wearing a pearl necklace, set in a 14K gold frame, circa 1890s.

The Victorian era 19^th century cameo brooch is generously sized, and carved in a bas relief which is left facing, and less common.

It is also bezel set in 14K yellow gold, and trimmed with a twisted gold rope around the frame.

The cameo measures approximately 1&1/2 inches wide by 1&15/16 inches high, has an early lever style clasp marked “14K”, and weighs 12.1 grams.
