Vintage 50s Topper Blue Silver Brocade Asian Swing Jacket
An elegant brocade of blue and black with touches of metallic silver are featured on this finely made topper jacket from the Mow-Gi tailor shop in Taiwan, circa 1950s.
The swingy Rockabilly jacket consists of a solid weight brocade fabric with decorative black embroidered Asian design over a royal blue ground, along with metallic silver accents.
It has 7/8 length sleeves with turned back cuffs, bib style collar, two self covered triangular shaped buttons as shown, two hips pockets, and full lining within.
The jacket also has a colorful label for “Mow-Gi Tailor Co.” with Chinese characters, a logo of a well-dressed woman of the period, and the maker’s address and telephone number in Taipei.
Very good condition – vibrant and intact.
