Vintage 60s Cheongsam Dress Batik Burgundy Qipao Birds & Waves S

A hand printed batik pattern of rolling waves with birds in flight, is featured on this vintage burgundy and cream colored Chinese cheongsam or qipao dress, from Hong Kong circa 1960s.

The fitted dress is made from a naturally dyed wax-resist cotton batik, and has a mandarin collar and half-length sleeves with piping, metal side zipper, snap button closure along the bodice, and double side slits along the skirt. 

There is a size label for S, and fabric care label which includes “100% Cotton”, along with hand washing instructions, and “Made in Hong Kong”.

*PLEASE NOTE that there is a faint bit of yellowing from age, particularly on the left shoulder and collar as shown (see pic 6).

Otherwise, the dress remains in good condition and is vibrant and intact.
