An undulating leaf with modernist design makes up this vintage sterling silver brooch, identical to the work of Taxco artist Carlos Delfino but unsigned – and an example of Mexican trade jewelry from the 1950s.
The mid-century brooch is handwrought from a heavy gauge sterling silver, in the form of a graceful contoured leaf with raised center ridge, curled stem, and ball tip.
It measures approximately 3&1/3 inches across, weighs 16.4 grams, and is marked “Sterling” and “Hand Made”.
