A finely handwrought slave bracelet featuring sterling silver and mother of pearl, makes up this vintage Navajo crafted set, circa 1970s.
The well-crafted Southwestern set, also known as a ‘hand harness’, consists of unmarked sterling silver, in the form of a connecting cuff bracelet and ring, with center ‘island’ resting on the back of the hand – all in a decorative sterling silver leaf design with connecting chains, and oval mother of pearl cabs set in sawtooth bezels.
The bracelet measures 5&1/2 inches end to end, with a 1&1/4 inch gap, to make up an approximate size of 6&3/4 inches – while the ring measures a size 11.5 on my ring mandrel.
The set in its entirety weighs 32.2 grams.
