Vintage 30s Gripoix Fringe Necklace Rousselet Red & Green Pate de Verre Mughal Fruit Salad

Make a statement in this stunning vintage Art Deco bib necklace, with double fringe of textured emerald green pâte de verre Gripoix beads and semi-translucent melon shaped red beads, suspended from a gilt novelty chain, circa 1930s.

Resembling a Louis Rousselet design, the showy festoon type necklace has a Mughal or Mogul ‘fruit salad’ style – featuring a colorful alternating cascade of individually lampworked green beads in graduating sizes with poured glass red beads, each with a contrasting colored seed bead terminal.

The largest bead hangs approximately 5/8 of an inch in length, while the necklace itself, measures approximately 14&3/4 inches around the neck (including clasp).

It also has a filigree push-in box clasp and weighs 64 grams.
