Vintage 50s Swimsuit Maillot Pin Up Halter Bathing Suit S / M

Beat the summer heat in style, with this vintage “pin up” Rockabilly maillot bathing suit with halter strap and boy cut leg opening, circa 1950s.

The swimsuit consists of a lastex or elasticized ribbed fabric with assymetrical halter strap, built in bra with boning, pleated banded waist, metal zippered back with panel, and modesty panel in front – in a bone hue for the body, with dark fuchsia pink colored shoulder strap and waist, and embroidered label which includes in part “Made in U.S.A.”. 

*Please note – the elastic at the leg has stretched out over time and may need replacing, and some stitching from the waist pleated has loosened (see close-up pic), but doesn’t affect wear.  Also, the bra has some interior yellowing, and the suit is not color fast and best used for sun bathing only.

Otherwise, the suit is in good condition, and has been priced accordingly.

Hips – 38 to 39 inches

Gusset – 4&1/2 inches
