Vintage Antonio Pineda Mexican Bracelet 970 Silver & Pearls Taxco Cuff
A sleek modernist design of fine silver with creamy cultured pearls, make up this fabulous looking vintage cuff bracelet by Taxco Silver Master Antonio Pineda, circa 1950s.
The exquisitely crafted bracelet is hand wrought from a solid heavy gauge 970 silver (a fineness higher than Sterling) in an openwork design, with decorative silver beading, and four cultured white pearls set in decorative circular cups – with each pearl measuring approximately 6mm in size.
The chic bracelet measures approximately 7/8 of an inch wide, and has an approximate inside length of 5&1/4 inches from end to end, with a 1-inch wide gap – for a total of 6&1/2 inches around.
It weighs a considerable 72.8 grams, and is signed with Pineda’s stylized name of “Antonio” shaped as a crown, along with “970”, “Hecho en Mexico”, and the eagle assay mark with Pineda’s assigned artist number of “17”.
