So large and expertly carved, is this vintage Bakelite novelty button depicting the theme of “comedy”, from the ‘comedy and tragedy’ theatre masks originating in ancient Greek theatre, circa 1940s.
The amply sized decorative Art Deco button trim consists of a black hand carved Bakelite, measuring approximately 1&3/8 wide at its widest point, by approximately 2&5/8 inches in length, weighs 12.6 grams, and has three embedded loop style shanks.
