A richly colored semi-translucent amber, makes up this natural fossilized tree resin brooch, featuring primitive plant or animal inclusions, and made into a brooch sometime in the 1930s.
The smooth and polished oblong shaped specimen has a warm honey-like cognac color, with natural inclusions of fossilized organic matter in an asymmetrical pattern, fluorescing into a soft matte chartreuse green color under black light (UV 395nm), as shown (see pic 3).
It measures approximately 7/8 of an inch high by 1&3/4 inches wide, has an embedded metal pinback with c-catch, and weighs 8.8 grams.
