An ancient Grecian female goddess, possibly that of Hebe or Bacchante, is depicted in this vintage intaglio brooch, posed with raised arm and draped robe, circa 1960s.
The unsigned Neoclassical brooch is oblong in shape and has a goldtoned metal base, and domed glass with carved intaglio on the surface over a black ground – along with tiny white rhinestones all along the outer frame.
It measures approximately ¾ of an inch wide by 1&3/8 inches high, has a c-catch, and weighs 10.1 grams.
