An ancient pre-Columbian deity of the Andes is featured on this vintage Peruvian 900 silver brooch, with front facing figural, circa 1970s.
The square shaped brooch consists of 900 silver (just under Sterling) and has a Chimú culture deity, which predates the Incas, along with textured frame and background.
It measures approximately 1&5/8 inches across by just under 1&1/2 inches high, has a c-catch, weighs 14.3 grams and is marked “0900”.
