It’s up, up and away! For this vintage hot air balloon sterling silver brooch and pendant, with hanging basket and tiny figural by Carolyn Pollack, circa late 1990s early 2000s.
The combination brooch and pendant consist of a sterling silver base, and is set with composite gemstone mosaics of crushed turquoise, malachite, and lapis lazuli, making up the colored stripes of the balloon.
It measures approximately 1&1/8 inches wide at its widest point, hangs about 1&3/4 inches, top to bottom, has both a pinback and bail, weighs 11.1, and is marked “925” along with Pollack’s “CP” signature.
