A spiral pattern in earthtone colors is featured on this fanciful vintage seashell ring, set in sterling silver from Mexico, circa 1980s.
The sculptural ring consists of what appears to be a marble cone seashell, also known as a Conus marmoreus shell, with a raised cone center in speckled colors of brown and white, along with a pale pink tip.
It is set in a sterling silver bezel with adjustable shank as shown, so that it can fit up to a size 7, approximately.
The face of the ring measures approximately 5/8 of an inch round, weighs 6.4 grams and is marked “Mexico”, “925”.
